The Oyo State Primary Health Care Board is saddled with the responsibility of coordinating resources and stakeholders to achieve optimum Primary Health Care (PHC) System for the people of the State. The Board therefore has the onerous mandate of drastically reducing women and child death in the State. Towards realization of its mandate, the Board is expected to bring all the Primary Health Care Facilities in all the 33 LGAs under One Roof for effective planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation for optimum productivity. Additionally, it is set to ensure effective community engagement and multi-disciplinary collaboration in its programs/activities which are confined within its key intervention areas viz–a-viz: Immunization and Disease Control, Nutrition and Health Promotion and Reproductive Health/Family Planning.
