Achievement of Oyo State Primary Health Care Board
Governnance Reform
- Passage of the Bill establishing the Board by the State House of Assembly and subsequent signing into law by His Excellency, the Executive Governor;
- Gazetting of the Law Establishing the Board;
- Â Appointment of Chairman of the Oyo State Primary Health Care Board by the Executive Governor;
- Movement of Local Government Health Staff to the State Primary Health Care Board;
- Renovation of three hundred and fifty-one (351) Primary Health Care Centers in the State;
- Participation in World Bank assisted Accelerating Nutrition Results in Nigeria (ANRiN) Project;
- Â Development of Minimum Service Package (MSP) and Investment Plan for Primary Health Care Services in the State;
- Â Implementation of Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF) in the State;
- Â Review of Policy on Integration of Post â Partum Family Planning (PFFP) in the State;
- Routine Immunization of Children in the State through the assistance of patners including UNICEF, WHO, CDC, HERFON & others;
- Â Various Public Awareness on citizensâ health;
- Â COVID-19 epidemic preparedness and vaccination of the citizenry as measure towards the diseaseâs curtailment;
- Â Supplemental Immunization Activities such as Yellow Fever/Men. A Campaign, National Immunization Plus Days (NIPDs) Implementation, Outbreak Response (OBR) Campaigns, Modified Integrated Medical Outreach Programs (mI-MOP), etc
- Â School Based De-worming Exercises to prevent occurrence of NTDs such as schistosomiasis and soil transmitted worms among school age children in the State
Infrastructural Development
- Renovation of the Ministry of Education Annex Building allocated to the Board to serve as its Secretariat;
- Installation of Incinerator at Cold Chain Office, Jericho Ibadan.
